Pupils in Year 9 also have the opportunity of working with a real ARTIST!  Every year an artist specialising in various areas of Art and Design comes into school for two days demonstrating their particular skills and helping the pupils to try out different techniques - usually to great effect.

In 2002, Ceramic Artist Phil Hardaker came into school and produced with the pupils a huge round mosaic which is now displayed in the main school reception.

In 2003 Anne-Marie Cadman, a textile designer, came in for two days. First the pupils sketched out their designs onto fabric.

Then Anne-Marie showed them how to apply dyes, paint and pastels to create the finished items exhibited around the school and also shown below.

Other work completed during Year 9.
