Investigate the Cafod Website
Follow the instructions below and listen carefully to the choices which your teacher asks you to make.
What you will do
You
are going to find out about the work of Cafod, the Catholic Agency for
Overseas development. You will do this by looking at parts of the Cafod
Website and by producing an information document.
Instructions

2. Find out about a Cafod Project which is taking place now. Find out:
- where the project is
- what the project is doing
- who is being helped by the project
- what help Cafod needs to carry on its work

3. Now you have to present this information. Choose one of these ways of doing this (or follow what your teacher tells you).
- create your own leaflet using a word processing or DTP programme
- use the Microsoft Word template on this site: click here
- use the Publisher 2000 template on this site: click here
- create a Presentation with Powerpoint or some other presentation software.

This activity is based on the one in the Icons Year 7 textbook page 45.
Variations
(notes for the teacher)
You could edit the templates and print them out, doing this as a written exercise, possibly using printed Cafod material, such as Fairground.
Downloading the Templates
What happens when you click on the link to a template depends on the
way your browser and network are set up. If you are asked to save or run,
then it is probably better to save the document, then open it. If the
template just opens up, then do as 'Save as ...' straight away before you
work on the file.
Your teacher will tell you what you need to do.
