Know and understand the topics from the syllabus. |
The best way to revise is:
Read and make notes.
Answer exam questions.
There will be two papers in the GCSE
The first will be the St Mark paper - Christian life and the Gospel
In each paper of the exam there are 3 sections:
Section A |
In this section the answers need to be brief and are only worth 1 or 2 marks. However they still have to be precise and accurate. Do not write vague/weak answers - use facts.
Section B |
In B you have to give more detailed answers. Again be precise - do not write vague answers but present your ideas clearly.
Section C |
In C you are to write an essay answer. You can gain 40% of your marks in section C - you will not do this by writing brief answers. Think carefully about the question. You should aim to write at least a side of A4, but to get the highest marks you will need to write more. Again do not waffle - carefully plan your answers so they are ordered and have all the relevant ideas and information.
