Parent Teacher Association

The Association continues to make a major contribution towards the school, developing close co-operation between staff, parents and pupils.  Through their combined efforts a lot has been achieved to foster understanding amongst all those who have a genuine concern for the well being of the School.  In addition, the fund-raising activities have provided money to purchase vital equipment for the benefit of the pupils.

Membership of the Association is open to all parents of children attending Painsley Catholic High School, and all members of staff.

Fund-raising activities are also enjoyable social events, both for the people who help and for those who attend.

Please remember that the most precious gift you can give to your son or daughter is your time, and by participating in Painsley P.T.A. you will be achieving this, albeit indirectly.

"The most important factors at Painsley are: the behaviour and attitude of the pupils, the quality of teaching, the hard work of the teachers and pupils, the support given by parents"

Ofsted, April 1997

Young Engineers' Club

The Young Engineers' Club is well supported by J.C.B financially and in terms of J.C.B staff time.

The Club meets twice a week and projects have included work on a real life problem set by J.C.B, looking at the design and construction of a J.C.B. excavator that can be remotely controlled by using Virtual Reality.

The club at Painsley was chosen by the Engineering Federation to represent Staffordshire on a trip through the Eurotunnel to France.

Visits have included: the Rover Test Centre in Warwickshire, J.C.B. Rocester and numerous talks at J.C.B. Special Products.  Bronze Crest Awards have been presented and we recently finished third in the Midlands Finals for Young Engineers.
