Jesus warns against the possibility of becoming tangled up in material possessions (Mark 4:1-9, Mark 10:17-22). | |
Love is considered the single most important emotion in Christianity (1Cor 13: 13), and love of God is beyond all other love. | |
St. Benedict claimed that prayer is work. | |
Contemplative orders also do important Christian work through offering intercessions, retreats, counselling and manufacturing goods. |
