Case 1

Doris has been caught shoplifting. She had stolen items even though she had enough money in her purse to buy them. The court is told that her husband died three months ago.

Case 2

Fred, 40, married with two children, accidentally ran over and killed a pedestrian. He has been drinking and is found to be over the limit.

Case 3

Sarah is caught breaking into a house. It is discovered she has burgled several houses. She admits that she steals items and sells them to pay for her drug-taking.

Jim is accused of murder. He return home from work early one day and found his wife in bed with another man. He stabbed the man with a kitchen knife and killed him.

Case 6

Darren is accused of GBH. He and three friends attacked a rival supporter outside a football ground. The supporter was in hospital for several weeks. All four of them were drunk at the time.
