What you will need

  • One orange
  • One candle

If you can, also

  • 4 cocktail sticks (with sweets, cheese or nuts)
  • 1 piece of red ribbon

 

What you need to do

  1. Find the best balancing angle for your orange. Use that as its base.
  2. Make a hole in the top of your orange - with an apple corer, or the pointed end of a potato peeler.
  3. Check that the hole is just the right size to support your candle.
  4. Place the candle in the hole.
  5. If you can, fasten a piece of red ribbon around the orange, like a belt.
  6. Put the orange in a plastic container or polythene bag to bring to school.
  7. When you get ot school add four cocktail sticks with small sweets (nuts or cheese) skewered through them.

Afterwards

You may eat the orange in a hygenic manner, in a suitable place,
