Make a Christingle
What you will need
If you can, also
- 4 cocktail sticks (with sweets, cheese or nuts)
- 1 piece of red ribbon
What you need to do
- Find the best balancing angle for your orange. Use that as its base.
- Make a hole in the top of your orange - with an apple corer, or the pointed end of a
potato peeler.
- Check that the hole is just the right size to support your candle.
- Place the candle in the hole.
- If you can, fasten a piece of red ribbon around the orange, like a belt.
- Put the orange in a plastic container or polythene bag to bring to school.
- When you get ot school add four cocktail sticks with small sweets (nuts or cheese)
skewered through them.
Afterwards
- You may eat the orange in a hygenic manner, in a suitable place,
- or
- Take the Christingle home.
