Logos RE is a new web site that is dedicated to supporting Catholic Religious Education and through ICT. It will be a resource that will eventually span KS1 through to KS5. The site is also aims to support any RE programme. Most
of the site is now on-line and it will continue to grow and develop over the months and years. For
teachers Its aim is to provide resources for teachers such as
schemes of work, exemplar lesson plans, worksheets and so on. It will
eventually support the main programmes of RE used in Catholic schools such as
Here I am and Icons. It
also supports GCSE, A level and General RE
in the 6th form. It is hoped that it will become the national resource
for Catholic Religious Education on the web. For
students It will also provide activities for pupils that
can be used by them at home and in the classroom. The site will incorporate the Iconstoo web site that has already been created to support the Icons programme of Religious Education. This site is already up and running and contains information for teachers as well as activities for students. It is focused primarily on year 7 at the moment but it will have material for year 8 & 9 as the material is developed. This site also welcomes contributions for teachers. This site will be a non-profit making project
and we need contributions from RE teachers to make it a really
worthwhile resource. We would welcome any worksheets, activities,
useful links, lesson plans, schemes of work, liturgy ideas and so on. Any contributions of worksheets/ schemes/
fact sheets etc can be made by post to Clive Wright Logos RE Bishop Challoner Catholic School Institute Road Kings Heath Birmingham B14 7EG or via e-mail to All contributions will be fully
acknowledged.
