French Exchange

In Year 10 all pupils studying French will have the opportunity to take part in the Staffordshire Limousin Exchange. This is an exchange run by the county. It has now been running for approximately 25 years and in the past we have always had several pupils participating from Painsley.

The exchange works on a very simple basis. At the beginning of Year 10 you begin to correspond with a French partner of similar age, hobbies etc. At Easter your French partner comes to stay with you and your family for 2 weeks. This is mostly in the school holidays and on the few days you are in school your partner will accompany you to lessons. In July, during the last week of school you set off for France to spend 2 weeks with your partner and their family.

This is a marvellous opportunity to experience the French way of life as well as speak the language.
The cost of the trip has always represented excellent value for money, approximately £160. Included in the price is a trip to Alton Towers with your partner and a trip to Futuroscope in Poitiers.

Don't miss out on a wonderful opportunity. Ask your teacher for details.

Now visit the main town of the Limousin region, Limoges, for a taster of French life.
