Netball
Year 8 girls and the Under 16 team are Staffordshire Moorlands
Champions. The Under 14 team are runners-up in the County, representing
Staffordshire in the Midlands.
Badminton
Rebecca Brentnall and Kate Fairhurst have been selected for the England
squad.
 Cross Country
Luke Boulton is the Under 14 British Fell Running Champion and a National
cross country runner.
Swimming
England swimmers include: John Blood, Louise Carnwell, Nicola Pledger, Ashley
Blood and Karl Worthington.
Karl Worthington has competed in the Cerebral Palsy World Games (winning golf
and bronze medals) and won 7 gold medals in the Nationals for the disabled
(breaking several records). He is the "Young Athlete of the
Year" for Scope and the "Sports Personality of the Year" for
Cheadle, the Staffordshire Moorlands and the City of Stoke-on-Trent.

1993, Belgium - John Blood (5 golds), Louise Carnwell (1
gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze) and Lee Carnwell (1 bronze) all for swimming,
Amanda Emery for Athletics.
1995, Hungary - Ian Sheldon and Daniel Blood, for swimming.
1996, England - Matthew Bullock and Paul Donnelly selected for football
(bronze medals). Nicola Pledger (2 golds, 2 silver, 1 bronze) and
Ashley Blood (silver medal) for swimming.
1997, Malta - Nicola Pledger (2 golds, 1 bronze) and Ashley Blood for
swimming.
1998, Gran Canaria - Nicola Pledger and Ashley Blood for swimming.
