CAFOD's Library amd Information Centre is a
part of the Directorate, and manages/provides access to information for all staff within
CAFOD, and others by appointment. The LIC also includes the CAFOD Archive. The Librarian
is CAFOD's webmaster and acts as a Public Information Officer for all web site related

CAFOD is the lead agency for the Caritas
Internationalis Network and co-ordinates the network's response to the pandemic of AIDS.
Our involvement is mainly in the areas of HIV counselling, home-base care, prevention and
education, and AIDS orphans programmes. For more information on the work of the AIDS

An important part of CAFOD's work is to
speak up on behalf of those in the Third World who have no voice. CAFOD does this by
seeking to influence decision makers, in government and international institutions. For

A glance at our accounts will reveal that a
significant proportion of CAFOD's income comes from funds provided by the British
Government and the European Union, often earmarked for a specific purpose. For more

is the organisation of the CAFOD Campaign. The second is CAFOD's work with youth. For more

CAFOD has a network of 12 Regional
Organisers, who represent CAFOD throughout England and Wales. They are managed and
supported by the Head of Regions and his assistant here at head office. For further

The work of this section is to communicate
CAFOD's message to the world through the media - Television, Radio, Newspapers. The head
of the section, Fiona Fox, is assisted by two press officers, Mary McCollum and Ged
Naughton.
Fundraising is vital to CAFOD's work, both
here at home, and overseas. This section looks at ways in which CAFOD can be publicly
promoted (such as Direct Marketing), and ways in which funds can be raised (such as
Legacies). The twice yearly fast day appeal is also administered from this section. If you

publications that provide a resource for those seeking to have further information and
understanding of the challenge of the coming "Millennium Jubilee" . For further

The Publications Section is responsible for the writing
and design of CAFOD's printed output. The section comprises two Audio-visual Officers who

This section maintains relationships with all CAFOD
supporters. It processes all incoming donations, answers frequently-asked questions about

The Finance and Information Technology Department is
made up of two separate sections, which provide services to the whole of CAFOD. These are
Accounts and Information Technology. For more information please contact,
Personnel and Administrative Services also supplies
services to the whole of CAFOD. This department is the first point of contact within
CAFOD, through its reception staff. There are also managers for Office Supplies and
Facilities management. The Personnel Office also handles all enquiries in respect of
